If you are interested in the concept of a Joomla website, but have some questions about its capabilities, how about taking a tour of Joomla? Please call (847-477-4266) or email me (email@example.com). I can, at very short notice, set up an online demo and walk you through many of the features of a Joomla website. Good News Church of Mosinee, WI
Good News wanted a website more versatile & colorful than the one they had. Joomla provided them the options they wanted at low cost. In addition to some of the standard fare (audio/video playback, photo galleries, front page banner pictures) their site has convenient playback/downloading of weekly sermon files. A registration package which will work really well for children's and youth programs, plus other church events will be added soon.
Registration Site for A Run
One of Kids Against Hunger satellites in Minneapolis wanted to host a 10K/5K run (yes, like in "RUN") to raise money for a food packaging event in July. They needed a registration site where groups/individuals could choose from several races, select free shirt sizes and pay for their participation. The site worked great! 569 runners participated in 10K/5K runs and 89 children in 1/4 and 1/2 mile events. All told they raised enough money to package 125,000 meals for hungry children.
Emmanuel Baptist Church
This church website was re-designed in 2009 using Joomla and features a template whose background image can be easily changed to fit the season. The site contains a comprehensive church calendar, Google mapping, a front page advertising image rotator in addition to ministry articles.
Kids Against Hunger: Semi-Customized Group
The template site contains standardized information about Kids Against Hunger: logo, videos, FAQs, articles, etc. But each satellite is able to customize their site's look & organization as well. They can preview design template variations (which change the look of the entire site) on the test site (www.gmmediatest.us/kah). And add pictures, events and information specific to their own satellite.
